Greater Long Island Running Club, largest and most active running club in Long Island, chooses haku as new technology partner to get the year started
Miami, FL, February 1, 2016 – Greater Long Island Running Club (GLIRC), Long Island’s largest and most active running club, has come on board with haku to take on their events and memberships. With the 19th Annual Kings Park 15K Run and USA Track & Field National 50 Kilometer Championship Run at Caumsett state Park quickly approaching in March, haku and the Greater Long Island Running Club anticipate a great season. GLIRC hosts over 25 events a year, bringing in over 25 thousand participants from all over the north east. With the organization expanding annually, GLIRC has decided that haku’s easier registration, email campaigns and marketing tools were exactly what they needed to fuel their growth.
“We are looking forward to working with haku to promote our events and handle our online registration. From our first meeting, we were impressed with their personal service and prompt accommodations to any requests we might have. We’re also excited to be able to easily track the demographics of our entrants,” said Linda, executive director of Greater Long Island Running Club.
Registration for winter and spring GLIRC events are now open, including Long Island Greenbelt Trail Run 2016 and registration for the 2016 Freedom Fest Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K to Support Our Veterans will open on Feb. 1.
“It is very exciting to work with an organization like the Greater Long Island Road Running Club. We are thrilled to see them manage their memberships, events and participant community with our innovative technology,” said Carlos Escobar, CEO and founder of haku. “We are confident we will help their events grow in participation year after year.”
