The Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run once again confirms haku as its registration partner to power the 38,000 participant 3 race series
Celebrating its 31st year of their successful corporate 5k race series, the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Runs project an all-time record in participating companies. In 2015 alone, the Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run reached 36,600 participants within 1,248 companies that aimed to keep their employees active and motivated. Teamfootworks, producers of this race series, hosts three annual races in Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, gathering companies of all sizes with participants of all fitness levels. Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run’s mission is to generate an awareness of fitness and health, while promoting the benefits of running and walking throughout their corporate community. Christian Puchin, a 2015 corporate captain from Mercantil Bank, said, “The race is considered a ‘major event’ by the bank. As such, it’s targeted to stimulate employee satisfaction, camaraderie, and overall health.”
Apart from staying active, participants run for another great cause. Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run 2016 is now affiliated with the charitable organization, United Way, which strives toward building a better community, focusing efforts on education, health and financial stability.
Running large scale events like MBCR comes with great challenges, particularly when they involve corporations paying for participants’ registrations. This is why MBCR sought the easiest, most comprehensive event management software for large events in the market.
In 2014, haku added corporate team registration to their event management platform and was welcomed on board to provide innovative solutions for this historic event. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run registration opened on October 1, 2015, and for the second year in a row, haku has taken on the challenge of providing all technology for this massive celebration.
haku’s innovative software assists TeamFootWorks with virtually all aspects of event planning – from registrations, to automated race results sent to participants as they cross the finish line and everything in between. Captains are able to register their teams, create invoices and even keep an interactive team page for every employee to engage before, during and after the event.
“Team captains loved using haku last year. We received tons of feedback about how easy it was to get their teams registered and everyone at TeamFootWorks loved how effective it was for us to manage and support captains throughout the registration process. We are very happy to have haku as our partner again this year,” Eddie Suarez, Corporate Run Assistant Race Director, expressed. As the race approaches in March 2016, TeamFootWorks and haku continue to strive to make this Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run the best and largest one yet!
