Deferral Policies

Deferral Policy: If you're unable to participate in the race, you may defer your registration. Before starting the deferral process, please review the two options below, as the steps are different depending on how you'd like to use your race credit. 

• Option 1: Defer to next year's event -  If you plan to participate in the next year's event, you can complete your deferral by going to Your Events > Edit Registration > Registration Options. After registration opens for the event, you'll receive an email invitation with a personalized registration link. To redeem your race credit, you must complete a new registration using that email link. Your deferral is valid for next year's event only. If the registration fee has increased, you will be responsible for paying the remaining balance at checkout.

• Option 2: Use Your Credit for Another Capstone Races Event - If you'd prefer to use your race credit for another eligible Capstone Races event instead of the event you are currently registered for, do not complete the deferral process described above. Instead, email our Customer Service team at support@hakusports.com. We'll help transfer your race credit to another eligible Capstone Races event. Please allow 24–48 business hours for a response. Deferral deadlines still apply. When you choose this option, you'll receive race credit equal to the amount you paid for registration (excluding processing fees). 

Each Capstone Races event has a specific deferral deadline. No deferrals or exceptions will be accepted after the deadline.
