SPECIFYING PROVIDER INFORMATION
During the set up of your event form details, now you can create a complete list of providers that will be treating patients on race day.
Upon creating an encounter, each medical provider can now search and identify their name and credentials. This way, you can always know which member of your team worked on any encounter.
OPTION TO DELETE ENCOUNTERS
After creating an encounter, medical EMR users will have the ability to delete encounters should they wish to no longer have them entered. Find the delete button on the bottom of the encounter view.
Admins can easily view deleted encounters from the encounters list. This is helpful for admins to have a complete view of all encounters for data collection and reporting purposes.
COLLECTING PATIENT MEDICAL HISTORY/INFORMATION
During each encounter creation, you'll now have the option to add medical history and associate it to the patient. If any medical history is saved, should the participant have another medical encounter during the race, all medical history for that participant will pre-populate. This enables medical professionals to easily treat a participant without having to re-document their medical history saving valuable time in the treatment process and making data entry easier and faster!
DIAGNOSIS & TREATMENT OPTIONS
In an effort to make your event encounter forms more customizable with actionable data, we've also added a way to add your own diagnosis and treatment options. On each encounter, your team can enter one or multiple diagnosis and treatment options.
When setting up your encounter options, you'll now be able to add Transportation Company choices. This way, your team can enter which company transported a patient in the case of a transport disposition.
Upon creating an encounter, we've added a field to enter whether the patient's family has been notified about the encounter and specify who was notified. The team can also enter a specific time the disposition took place for further reporting.
NEW TREATMENT OPTIONS
Under the Treatment tab of the encounter, you can now provide information regarding treatment options given to a patient including IV Fluids, Oral Fluids, Ice Immersions and an EKG. The medical professional treating a patient can enter a time in and/or time out of each treatment option in order to closely document every course of treatment within an encounter. This data can help inform your team about presentation and treatment option correlations for more knowledgeable medical planning.
