March 2025 Workout Details
SDTC currently hosts two coached Track Workouts (Metro & North County Locations) on Tuesday evenings and a Tempo Run on Thursday evenings for SDTC members. Saturday Long Runs are open to RnR Program participants only.
New or visiting San Diego? - You are welcome to join a workout or bring a friend to participate in our workouts. Runners who participate regularly are encouraged to become an SDTC member.

March 4 - Logan Memorial Education Center
- All Groups: 3 mile Indian Run
March 11 - San Diego State University Sports Deck
- All Groups: 3 x 1 mile within 10 minutes including recovery time
March 18 - San Diego State University Sports Deck
- A Group: 6 x 800 w/ 400 recovery jog
- B Group: 5 x 800 w/ 400 recovery jog
- C Group: 4 x 800 w/ 400 recovery jog
March 25 - San Diego State University Sports Deck
- A Group: 7 x 800 w/ 400 recovery jog
- B Group: 6 x 800 w/ 400 recovery jog
- C Group: 5 x 800 w/ 400 recovery jog

Thursday Tempo Runs
Thursday Tempo Workouts are held 6PM on Thursdays at Mission Bay (typically the Runner’s Bathroom), with a once a month “field trip” to an alternate location. We have a post-run social after every Thursday workout!
March 6- Runner’s Bathroom Mission Bay
- Warmup 10 mins easy on own
- Dynamic warmup
- Main Set
- 5-4-3-2-1-1-2-3-4-5 minutes @ tempo pace with 1 min easy in between
- Cooldown 5-10 mins easy
March 13 - Runner’s Bathroom Mission Bay
- Warmup 10 mins easy on own
- Dynamic warmup
- Main Set
- 4 x 8 mins tempo effort with 2 min easy jogging in between
- Cooldown 5-10 mins easy
March 20 - Runner's Bathroom Mission Bay
- Warmup 10 mins easy on own
- Dynamic warmup
- Main Set
- 10 minutes at moderate effort
- 10 minutes at tempo pace
- 5 minutes at slightly faster than tempo pace
- Cooldown 5-10 mins easy
March 27 - Ocean Air Community Park
- Warmup 10 mins easy on own
- Dynamic warmup
- Main Set
- 4-5 rounds:
- 1 loop at tempo effort
- Jog down the hill - 1 strong UP hill - sprint at end
- Easy jog back to loop
- Cooldown 5-10 mins easy
